Amerado Draws Massive Crowd to Okese Park for Third Edition of My Motherland Concert
Ejisu was the place to be over the weekend as award-winning Ghanaian rapper Amerado successfully hosted the third edition of his annual flagship event, My Motherland Concert, at the iconic Okese Park. The highly anticipated homecoming concert attracted an estimated 15,000 to 20,000 patrons, reaffirming its growing influence in the Ashanti Region’s live entertainment space.
The event once again highlighted Amerado’s strong connection to his roots while celebrating Ghanaian music, culture, and community. With each edition scaling up in impact and attendance, My Motherland Concert has steadily positioned itself as one of the most talked-about artiste-led events in the region.
Amerado delivered a powerful headline performance, thrilling fans with a well-curated set of his biggest hits and lyrical showcases. His commanding stage presence and active audience engagement turned Okese Park into a wave of excitement, chants, and sing-alongs that carried through the night.
The concert featured an impressive lineup of top-tier acts, including Okyeame Kwame, King Paluta, Sista Afia, Strongman, Akwaboah, Oseikrom Sikanii, and Fancy Gadam, all of whom brought high energy and diversity to the stage.
Fans were also treated to surprise appearances from King Paluta and actor-cum-musician Lil Win, while the event marked a historic milestone with its first international act. Liberian music star JZyNo delivered a thrilling performance, adding a cross-border flavour to the celebration.
Beyond music, comedy performances from Asato Powers and 24Gh kept patrons entertained, adding balance and variety to the night’s programme.
A major highlight was a tribute segment honouring Okyeame Kwame for his immense contribution to Ghanaian music and culture—an emotional moment that resonated strongly with fans and industry stakeholders present. The event was further elevated by the presence of the Ejisuhemaa, Nana Yaa Asantewaa II, whose address added traditional and cultural depth to the celebration.
The third edition of My Motherland Concert ran seamlessly through the night and officially concluded at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, reinforcing Amerado’s growing reputation for delivering culturally relevant, community-driven experiences.
