Rie Osei and Demmi are gearing up for an emergence.

The afrofusion duo is back with another piquant single, “AMNESIA” ahead of their upcoming EP Sugar & Spice. 

The latin-influenced track features an array of hypnotic melodies and bouncy rhymes built off of the storyline of a rocky relationship. 

It explores the complexities of love in young adults and how intimacy causes lovers to view each other through rose colored lenses. Even if momentary, the bond is unforgettable.

The track is pulling, and effortless as always. “Baby got me looking like a bandit/If I say it twice then I mean it…” portrays how boundaries are compromised to keep our partners reassured. “Talk say you dey get amnesia/First you say I look familiar/now dier you dey start to freeze up,” the chorus betrays, calling out a partner for their skewed actions.

The duo's catchy verses have a way of offsetting the heavy content matter and is stylistically invigorating.
