Wendy Shay marks 28th birthday at Korle Bu teaching hospital

Ghanaian musician Wendy Shay on her birthday, February 20, paid a visit to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to donate some medical supplies.

The Wendy Shay Foundation donated baby cots, a paediatric bed, a radiant warmer, and a suctioning machine to the pediatric ward.

The musician's entourage stated that they wished to offer resources that would considerably raise the standard of care given to infants and kids at the hospital.

Additionally, Wendy Shay reaffirmed the goals of her foundation, emphasizing that they are committed to advancing healthcare and providing assistance to people in need.

"As an artist, I believe in using my influence to create positive change," the hitmaker of "Survival" stated. Our goal at the Wendy Shay Foundation is to solve urgent societal challenges and help create a better future for everybody."

The management of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital extended their heartfelt gratitude to Wendy Shay and her foundation for their invaluable contribution. Dr Hope Glover Addy, head of the Paediatric Surgery Unit, lauded the donation, emphasising its impact on patient care.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time the RuffTown Records signee has made such donations.

In 2023, during World Children’s Day, she donated educational items to Weija Primary 1 and 2 pupils.

The items included newly sewn school uniforms, bags, whiteboards, and various stationery items.
